Local Economic Development Portals (LEDP) have been created to provide regional business communities with a direct link to various opportunities, having the core function of connecting local businesses with local projects, in real time.
Each regional portal is a live and active project collaboration and networking system, assisting businesses to run and manage projects by linking local Project Managers, Builders, Consultants, Trades and Suppliers at the critical points required for successful project completion. With links to an integrated work experience directory, everyone in the community has a chance to benefit from new projects in the region, including many other businesses which indirectly derive their income through these connections.
Key Stakeholder Collaboration
An LEDP portal would provide a platform to enable key regional stakeholders to collaboratively work together to promote the capabilities of a region as well as ensure that local businesses get direct access to relevant opportunities in real time.
Local Chambers, Industry Associations, Regional Development Organisations and Councils could engage in promoting and using this free platform to assist local and regional engagement activities.
In return the portal can be used to promote membership and support of participating key stakeholder organisations through webpage branding, online advertising and priority listings and discounts for organisations who are either members of local industry groups and/or part of the organisation.
