The first quarter of the year is almost over, Easter is here again and like you,  we are looking forward to 4 days off!. We wish you all a safe and happy time and hope that those of you in the north don't get to wet with that torrential rain that is expected.....

March has been another busy month with over 150 new members coming online and we have been receiving some excellent feedback!.  The more we grow, the more we centralise where the industry needs to go to access the latest information.   With at least 20 new public and private projects coming online each week across Queensland,  Building Industry Online is fast becoming a prominent resource for industry members across the state.   Make sure you take a moment to look through our updates.  There are some excellent system features on the way -  we appreciate your input.  If there is anything else you would like to see click here to send your feedback through.

For all of our new and existing members we would like to remind you about our online instructional  video’s.  They are there to assist you.  However should you require some extra help, don’t forget our weekly webinar training sessions.  They need to be booked in advance. Click here to read more. When used correctly BIO will save you a substantial amount of time and money in many areas, including general administration.

We are continuing to work through the requirements of the Federal Government Comet program.  No new news as yet.  We will keep you updated each month.   Comet is a very competitive Government program, that supports company growth and we are looking forward to working closely with the team and delivering more benefits to you.

1.  Do you have trouble finding the Project you've just been notified about? -  We will tell you what to do!

2.  Are you accessing and downloading your Documents one at a time?  -  There is no need. BIO has a multiple document download tool in the "Advanced Document Viewer".

Subcontractor / Supplier - System Upgrades.

1.  Tender Closing Date will be brought through into initial preview screen - Thanks for your feedback!.

Builder - System Upgrades / New Developments.

1.  New reporting tools in your "ON Project" screen -  Two new columns of information - at a glance see who has accessed your documents and who has submitted their quotes.  Click through from each entry for full information - Available now!.

2. "Register your Team" and "My Preferred Team" are now linked -   When you register new members in through your customised region they will automatically link and list as part of "My Preferred Team" - Available Now!. 

3. Our system will automatically report the individual number of trades and suppliers who have accepted interest in pricing your project.  EG: 3 plumbers, 2 painters, 0 Block layers etc.  At a glance you will clearly see what trades and products are covered and which ones you may need to follow up - Coming Soon! 

4.  New Notification - Removal Request - A new notification will be introduced.  Subcontractors, Suppliers and Consultants who origonally accept interest in a project will be able to tick a box to withdraw their interest if they change their mind.   Through the "Advanced Mail Filter" you will be able to easily remove their access to your project. - Coming Soon!

5.  Communications Module - This new feature will be optional for those members who want it.  Our communications module will track all correspondence between builders and individual project team members in a "thread".  All correspondence can be filtered by date, time project, member and subject -  Coming Soon!.
